11 William A. Fox, Jr. Memorial Bridge; designating the

12 Cpl Mick Ray Bekowsky USMC Memorial Interchange;
13 designating the LCpl Anthony D. Botello Memorial
13 Bridge; requiring suitable permanent markers be
14 placed; amending Section 8, Chapter 237, O.S.L. 2023
14 (69 O.S. Supp. 2023, Section 1698.405), which relates
15 to the William A. Ahrberg Memorial Highway; modifying
15 name of memorial; amending 69 O.S. 2021, Section
16 1698.11, which relates to the PFC John Reese, Jr.,
16 Medal of Honor/Purple Heart Memorial Highway;
17 modifying name of memorial; amending 69 O.S. 2021,
17 Section 1698.358, which relates to the Zachary
18 Charles Keever Memorial Highway; modifying location
18 of memorial; providing for codification; and
19 providing an effective date.

22 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

1 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
1
2 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.431 of Title 69, unless
2
3 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
3
4 The bridge on State Highway 31 crossing over Turkey Creek east
4
5 of Lequire in Haskell County shall be designated as the "C.B. and
5
6 Lois Craft Memorial Bridge". The Department of Transportation shall
6
7 cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on
7
8 the bridge.

9 SECTION 2. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
9
10 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.432 of Title 69, unless
10
11 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
11
12 The section of U.S. Highway 64 beginning at the intersection of
12
13 South 25th Street East in Keefeton, extending southeasterly to the
13
14 intersection of U.S. Highway 64 and East 128th Street South in
14
15 Muskogee County shall be designated as the "SFC Theodore Emmett
15
16 Lowery Memorial Highway". The Department of Transportation shall
16
17 cause suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on
17
18 the highway.

19 SECTION 3. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
19
20 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.433 of Title 69, unless
20
21 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

22 The section of State Highway 66 beginning on the east side of
22
23 the North Canadian River Bridge extending east through Bethany to
23
24 the intersection of State Highway 66 and North Hammond Avenue in

1 Oklahoma County shall be designated as the "LCpl Charles Nick Bondi
1
2 Memorial Highway". The Department of Transportation shall cause
2
3 suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the
3
4 highway.

5 SECTION 4. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
5
6 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.434 of Title 69, unless
6
7 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
7
8 The bridge crossing over Big Eagle Creek on State Highway 144 in
8
9 Leflore County shall be designated as the "Nettie Sands Memorial
9
10 Bridge". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable
10
11 permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

12 SECTION 5. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.435 of Title 69, unless
13
14 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
14
15 The section of State Highway 18 beginning at the intersection of
15
16 East 780 Road extending north through the town of Agra to the
16
17 intersection of State Highway 18 and East 770 Road in Lincoln County
17
18 shall be designated as the "Dale McFarlin Memorial Highway". The
18
19 Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers
19
20 bearing that name to be placed on the highway.

21 SECTION 6. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
21
22 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.436 of Title 69, unless
22
23 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

1 The first bridge east of Sangre Road on State Highway 51
1
2 crossing over Stillwater Creek in Payne County shall be designated
2
3 as the "Dr. Harry E. Heath, Jr. Memorial Bridge". The Department of
3
4 Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that
4
5 name to be placed on the bridge.

6 SECTION 7. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
6
7 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.437 of Title 69, unless
7
8 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8
9 The bridge crossing over Interstate 44 on U.S. Highway 62 in
9
10 Comanche County shall be designated as the "Ryan Gwaltney Memorial
10
11 Bridge". The Department of Transportation shall cause suitable
11
12 permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

13 SECTION 8. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.438 of Title 69, unless
14
15 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 The bridge on State Highway 9 east of Number 9 Marina Road
16
17 crossing over Eufaula Lake in Pittsburg County shall be designated
17
18 as the "U.S. Army SGT William A. Fox, Jr. Memorial Bridge". The
18
19 Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers
19
20 bearing that name to be placed on the bridge.

21 SECTION 9. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
21
22 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.439 of Title 69, unless
22
23 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

1 The bridge on State Highway 9W crossing over Interstate 35 in

2 McClain County shall be designated as the "SSG Rusty Dunagan
2
3 Memorial Bridge". The Department of Transportation shall cause
3
4 suitable permanent markers bearing that name to be placed on the
4
5 bridge.

6 SECTION 10. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
6
7 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.440 of Title 69, unless
7
8 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
8
9 The interchange of Interstate 35 and East Covell Road located in
9
10 Edmond, Oklahoma County, shall be designated as the "Cpl Mick Ray
10
11 Bekowsky USMC Memorial Interchange". The Department of
11
12 Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that
12
13 name to be placed at the interchange.

14 SECTION 11. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14
15 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1698.441 of Title 69, unless
15
16 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

17 The bridge over Gaines Creek on U.S. Highway 270 southwesterly
17
18 of Wilburton in Latimer County shall be designated as the "LCpl
18
19 Anthony D. Botello Memorial Bridge". The Department of
19
20 Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that
20
21 name to be placed on the bridge.

22 SECTION 12. AMENDATORY Section 8, Chapter 237, O.S.L.
22
23 2023 (69 O.S. Supp. 2023, Section 1698.405), is amended to read as
23
24 follows:

1 Section 1698.405 The section of State Highway 33 beginning at
1
2 the intersection of State Highway 18 North in Cushing extending west
2
3 two (2) miles in Payne County shall be designated as the "Col.
3
4 William A. Ahrberg World War II and Korea Memorial Highway". The
4
5 Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers
5
6 bearing that name to be placed on the highway.

7 SECTION 13. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.11, is
7
8 amended to read as follows:
8
9 Section 1698.11 State Highway 20 between the municipal limits
9
10 of Pryor and Salina shall be designated as the "PFC John Reece
10
11 Reese, Jr., Medal of Honor/Purple Heart Memorial Highway". The
11
12 Department of Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers
12
13 to be placed on the highway bearing that name.
13
14 SECTION 14. AMENDATORY 69 O.S. 2021, Section 1698.358,
14
15 is amended to read as follows:
15
16 Section 1698.358 The section of U.S. Highway 62 beginning at
16
17 the intersection of U.S. Highway 270 in the town of Harrah in
17
18 Oklahoma County extending easterly to the intersection of State
18
19 Highway 102 North in Pottawatomie Lincoln County shall be designated
19
20 as the "Zachary Charles Keever Memorial Highway". The Department of
20
21 Transportation shall cause suitable permanent markers bearing that
21
22 name to be placed on the highway.

1 SECTION 15. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
