7 An Act relating to crimes and punishments; amending
7 21 O.S. 2021, Section 1192, which relates to the
8 unlawful spread of infectious diseases; specifying
8 additional infectious diseases; updating language;
9 and providing an effective date.

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 21 O.S. 2021, Section 1192, is

13 amended to read as follows:
13
14 Section 1192. Any person who shall inoculate himself or herself
14
15 or any other person or shall suffer himself or herself to be
15
16 inoculated with smallpox, syphilis or gonorrhea:
16
17 1. Smallpox;
17
18 2. Syphilis;
18
19 3. Gonorrhea;
19
20 4. Bacterial Vaginosis;
20
21 5. Chlamydia;
21
22 6. Hepatitis;
22
23 7. Herpes;
23
24 8. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Infection;

1 9. Mycoplasma Genitalium (Mgen);

2 10. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID); or

3 11. Trichomoniasis,

4 and shall spread or cause to be spread to any other persons with
4
5 intent to or recklessly be responsible for the spread of or
5
6 prevalence of such infectious disease, shall, upon conviction, be
6
7 deemed a felon, and, upon conviction thereof, guilty of a felony and
7
8 shall be punished punishable by imprisonment in the State
8
9 Penitentiary custody of the Department of Corrections for a term of
9
10 not more than five (5) years nor less than two (2) years.

11 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
