7 An Act relating to the Department of Human Services;
7 amending 10 O.S. 2021, Section 1412, which relates to
8 advisory committee on service delivery for persons
8 with developmental disabilities; removing obsolete
9 language; removing certain membership requirement;
9 and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 10 O.S. 2021, Section 1412, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 1412. A. The Director of Human Services, who shall not
15
16 be removed from office, except for cause, subject to the approval of
16
17 the Commission for Human Services, shall appoint an advisory
17
18 committee to advise the Commission and Director on matters relating
18
19 to service delivery for persons with developmental disabilities.
19
20 B. Such advisory committee shall include among its members
20
21 representatives of state agencies and persons representative of
21
22 professional, civic, or other public or nonprofit private agencies,
22
23 organizations, or groups concerned with services needed by persons
23
24 with developmental disabilities, including the parent-guardian

 1 association of the Northern Oklahoma Resource Center of Enid, the
1
2 Southern Oklahoma Resource Center of Pauls Valley, and families of
2
3 individuals receiving services from the Developmental Disabilities
3
4 Services Division of the Department of Human Services.

5 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2024.
