6 AS INTRODUCED
7 An Act relating to state holidays; designating the
12th day of June each year as Oklahoma Military Women
8 in History Day; providing for codification; and
declaring an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 90.26 of Title 25, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 The 12th day of June of each year is hereby designated as
17 "Oklahoma Military Women in History Day" in Oklahoma. All citizens
18 of this state are requested to devote some portion of Oklahoma
19 Military Women in History Day to honor all the women who have served
20 in any capacity as a member of the Armed Forces of the United
21 States.
22 SECTION 2. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
23 of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby

1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
