7 An Act relating to schools; amending 70 O.S. 2021,
7 Section 14-108.2, which relates to agricultural
8 education programs; modifying grade levels for which
8 programs are to be designed; providing an effective
9 date; and declaring an emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2021, Section 14-108.2, is
13
14 amended to read as follows:
14
15 Section 14-108.2. A. Agricultural education programs are
15
16 designed for junior high and high school grades eight seven through
16
17 twelve, and shall be provided by comprehensive school districts.
17
18 Technology center school districts shall be prohibited from
18
19 operating agricultural education programs or FFA chapters in any
19
20 location.
20
21 B. Each student enrolled in an agricultural education program
21
22 shall participate in a supervised agricultural experience project.
22
23 C. For each agricultural education program which is funded by
23
24 the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, the

 1 local school district shall provide transportation services for

2 agricultural-education-program- and FFA-program-related duties and
2
3 activities.

4 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
4
5 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
5
6 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
6
7 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
7
8 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
