7 An Act relating to the practice of pharmacy; allowing
7 licensed pharmacist to prescribe nonprescription
8 drugs under certain conditions; authorizing
8 promulgation of rules; providing for codification;
9 and providing an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 353.1c of Title 59, unless there
14
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 A pharmacist licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy may, in
16
17 accordance with state and federal laws and rules, prescribe
17
18 nonprescription drugs for the purposes of extemporaneous compounding
18
19 or compounding for a known patient need in the practice area. The
19
20 Board may promulgate rules to implement this section.
20
21 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
