7 AS INTRODUCED
8 An Act relating to revenue and taxation; defining
term; prohibiting county assessors' use of unmanned
9 aircrafts; providing for codification; and providing
an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2821.1 of Title 68, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 A. As used in this section, "unmanned aircraft" means an
17 aircraft without occupants that is flown by a pilot via a ground
18 control system or autonomously through use of an onboard computer
19 and other additional equipment necessary to operate the aircraft and
20 includes unmanned aircraft commonly called drones.
21 B. County assessors shall not use an unmanned aircraft to
22 inspect real or personal property for the purpose of valuation, data
23 collection, or any other purpose related to the county assessor's
24 duties.

1 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective January 1, 2024.
