7 An Act relating to professions and occupations;
amending 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1366, which relates to
8 the Psychologists Licensing Act; providing for
issuance of license by reciprocity; and providing an
9 effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1363.1 of Title 59, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 The Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of Psychologists may enter
17 into and implement agreements with other jurisdictions for the
18 issuance of a license by reciprocity if the other jurisdiction's
19 requirements for licensure are substantially equal to the
20 requirements of the Psychologists Licensing Act.
21 SECTION 2. AMENDATORY 59 O.S. 2021, Section 1366, is
22 amended to read as follows:

1 Section 1366. The Oklahoma State Board of Examiners of
2 Psychologists may issue a license pursuant to the provisions of the
3 Psychologists Licensing Act:
4 1. To a qualified applicant who has successfully passed the
5 examination prescribed by the Board and who has paid the fee
6 required by the rules promulgated pursuant to the provisions of the
7 Psychologists Licensing Act; or
8 2. Upon application to the Board and payment of the fees
9 required by the Board by rules of the Board promulgated pursuant to
10 the provisions of the Psychologists Licensing Act, to any person who
11 is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology, or
12 who holds a current Certificate of Professional Qualification in
13 Psychology from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology
14 Boards, or who is licensed as a psychologist by a state with whom
15 the Board has established a formal written agreement of reciprocity.
16 SECTION 3. This act shall become effective November 1, 2023.
