7 A Joint Resolution directing the Secretary of State
to refer to the people for their approval or
8 rejection a proposed amendment to the Constitution of
the State of Oklahoma by adding a new Section 6 to
9 Article III; creating the Oklahoma Elections Reform
Act of 2023; providing ballot title; and directing
10 filing.

13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE OF THE
14 1ST SESSION OF THE 59TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
15 SECTION 1. The Secretary of State shall refer to the people for
16 their approval or rejection, as and in the manner provided by law,
17 the following proposed amendment to the Constitution of the State of
18 Oklahoma by adding a new Section 6 to Article III thereof, to read
19 as follows:
20 Section 6. This act shall be known and may be cited as the
21 "Oklahoma Elections Reform Act of 2023".
22 SECTION 2. The Ballot Title for the proposed Constitutional
23 amendment as set forth in SECTION 1 of this resolution shall be in
24 the following form:

3 THE GIST OF THE PROPOSITION IS AS FOLLOWS:
4 This measure adds a new section to Article 3 of the Oklahoma
5 Constitution. It creates the Oklahoma Elections Reform Act of
6 2023.
7 SHALL THE PROPOSAL BE APPROVED?
8 FOR THE PROPOSAL — YES _____________

10 SECTION 3. The Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives,
11 immediately after the passage of this resolution, shall prepare and
12 file one copy thereof, including the Ballot Title set forth in
13 SECTION 2 hereof, with the Secretary of State and one copy with the
14 Attorney General.
