7 An Act relating to schools; requiring certain schools
7 to make certain products available in certain
8 restrooms; defining term; providing for codification;
8 providing an effective date; and declaring an
9 emergency.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
13
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1-126 of Title 70, unless there
14
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

16 A. Each school district and public charter school in this state
16
17 shall make feminine hygiene products available, at no cost, in
17
18 school restrooms designated for use by females.
18
19 B. For the purposes of this section, “feminine hygiene
19
20 products” means tampons and sanitary napkins for use in connection
20
21 with the menstrual cycle.

22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2023.
22
23 SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
23
24 of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
24

1 declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and

2 be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
