7 An Act relating to hunting; allowing for landowners
7 to hunt on private land at night without permit;
8 defining term; providing certain exemptions;
8 providing for codification; and providing an

11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:

12 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
12
13 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 4-135.2 of Title 29, unless
13
14 there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:

15 A. A landowner shall not be required to hold a permit issued
15
16 pursuant to Section 4-135 of Title 29 of the Oklahoma Statutes when
16
17 hunting predators at night on their own private land. As used in
17
18 this section, a “predator” shall mean wild hogs, bobcats, mountain
18
19 lions, wolves, and coyotes.

20 B. Pursuant to this section, landowners shall be exempt from
20
21 statewide season regulations, bag limits, and methods of taking.

22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2022.
