7 An Act relating to statutes and reports; requiring
legislative measures for enactment of new law or
8 amendatory of existing law to use gender neutral
language; providing for codification; and providing
9 an effective date.

12 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
13 SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
14 in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 26.51 of Title 75, unless there
15 is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
16 Beginning with legislative measures prepared for consideration
17 in the Second Regular Session of the Fifty-eighth Oklahoma
18 Legislature in 2022, and for each legislative session thereafter,
19 whether regular or extraordinary, all statutes, whether to be
20 codified as new law, or amendments to then current law, shall be
21 prepared using gender neutral terms.
22 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
