7 An Act relating to elections; amending 26 O.S. 2011,
Section 5-110, which relates to filing of
8 Declarations of Candidacy; requiring election boards
to provide information regarding the placement and
9 display of political signage; and providing an
effective date.

13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
14 SECTION 1. AMENDATORY 26 O.S. 2011, Section 5-110, is
15 amended to read as follows:
16 Section 5-110. A. Declarations of Candidacy provided herein
17 must be filed with the secretary of the appropriate election board
18 no earlier than 8:00 a.m. on the second Wednesday of April of any
19 even-numbered year and no later than 5:00 p.m. on the next
20 succeeding Friday. Such Declarations of Candidacy may be
21 transmitted by United States mail, but in no event shall the
22 secretary of any election board accept such Declarations after the
23 time prescribed by law.

 1 B. Upon the filing of a Declaration of Candidacy, the secretary
2 of the appropriate election board shall provide the candidate with
3 information regarding the proper placement and display of political
4 signage.
5 SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2021.
