The bill establishes the Ohio Economic Task Force on Gun Violence and Violent Crimes, which aims to study the effects of gun violence and other violent crimes on Ohio businesses. The Task Force will consist of various members, including the Governor or their designee, the Attorney General or their designee, the Director of Development, five members from the Ohio business community, three members from the House of Representatives, three members from the Senate, and two community members focused on reducing violent crime. The Task Force is required to meet at least monthly and will select a chairperson or co-chairpersons within thirty days of its formation.

The Task Force's responsibilities include examining the economic impact of gun violence and violent crime on businesses and workforce development, assessing community investments affected by violent crime, identifying best practices for reducing violent crime, and exploring community revitalization efforts to prevent such crimes. A report detailing the Task Force's findings and recommendations must be submitted to the General Assembly within one year of the bill's effective date, after which the Task Force will be disbanded.
