The Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio has adopted a resolution honoring the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland on their One Hundred Seventy-fifth Anniversary. This milestone recognizes the significant contributions the Ursuline Sisters have made to the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Cleveland since their arrival in 1850. Initially, four nuns from France established Ursuline Academy shortly after reaching Cleveland, and they have since dedicated themselves to serving various underserved populations through healthcare, education, and social services.

The resolution commends the Ursuline Sisters for their foresight, dedication, and selfless service, which have positively impacted countless lives in the community. Their commitment to helping the less fortunate has earned them respect and admiration, inspiring others to engage in similar altruistic efforts. The Senate extends its best wishes for the continued success of the Ursuline Sisters and directs the Clerk of the Senate to provide an authenticated copy of the resolution to them.
