The bill amends section 123.30 of the Revised Code to further restrict the types of flags that state agencies can display on their grounds or in their buildings. It defines "authorized flag" to include the official state flag, the United States flag, the POW/MIA flag, and a flag containing the official logo of a state agency, provided that it has been approved by the governor or their designee.
Additionally, the bill specifies that, with the exception of the Ohio statehouse and its grounds, no state agency or entity managing state agency properties may display any flags other than those classified as authorized. The existing section 123.30 of the Revised Code is repealed as part of this amendment.
