The House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio has adopted a resolution honoring Garrett Guinther for his outstanding achievement as the 2025 Division I State Champion in pole vaulting. A senior at Sidney High School, Guinther has demonstrated exceptional talent and sportsmanship, culminating in a remarkable season where he set a state record of 17 feet, 3.25 inches at the Vandalia-Butler Invitational and secured first place at the Division I State Track and Field Meet with a record-tying height of 17 feet, 2 inches.
