The bill amends section 3517.05 of the Revised Code to address situations where multiple organized groups claim to be the rightful county central committee. It requires that in such cases, each group must file a list of its officers and members with the board of elections, which will then certify these lists to the state central committee of the relevant political party. The state central committee is tasked with meeting within thirty days of receiving the certification to determine and certify which group is recognized as the legitimate county central or executive committee.

Additionally, the bill updates the terminology used in the law by replacing the term "committeeman" with "committeeperson." It also clarifies the process for filling vacancies on the committee and establishes a clear procedure for resolving disputes over committee legitimacy. The existing version of section 3517.05 is repealed to implement these changes.
