The Ohio Senate has adopted a resolution honoring the Westerville North High School boys basketball team for their outstanding achievement in winning the 2025 Division II State Championship. The team, known as the Warriors, showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship throughout the season, culminating in a decisive victory over Perry with a score of 78-46. This championship marks their first title since 1994, and they concluded the season with an impressive overall record of 25-2.

The resolution also recognizes the leadership of Coach Shan Trusley, who played a pivotal role in developing the athletes' skills and fostering a sense of determination and teamwork among the players. The Senate commends the team for their accomplishments, which reflect positively on their families, school, and community. The resolution emphasizes the importance of athletic competition in the education of young people and expresses pride in the maturity and experience gained by the team members, which will serve them well in future challenges. A copy of the resolution will be transmitted to the Westerville North High School boys basketball team.
