The House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio has adopted a resolution honoring the Andrews Osborne Academy boys soccer team for their remarkable achievement in winning the 2023 Division III State Championship. The team, known as the Phoenix, showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship throughout the season, culminating in a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Worthington Christian. This championship marks the first title in the program's brief three-year history, with the team finishing the season with an impressive record of 18 wins, no losses, and one draw.
The resolution also recognizes the leadership of Coach Drago Dumbovic, who has played a pivotal role in developing the athletes' skills and fostering a sense of determination and camaraderie among the players.
