whose lives he touched, and he will be remembered as a spirited man 5
who contributed immeasurably to the world around him. Among his 6
endeavors, he was a senior buyer for American Electric Power, a member 7
of the Ohio State House of Representatives from 1990 to 2002, the 8

numerous projects and initiatives. Truly, he achieved a noteworthy 13
record of success throughout his varied and distinguished career; and 14
WHEREAS, Jon Myers’s regard for improving the quality of life in 15
our society was clearly evident in his personal sacrifices of time and 16
effort to his family, friends, and community. Giving generously of his 17
energy and abilities in all of his endeavors, he displayed exceptional 18
concern and insight, and his absence will be keenly felt; and 19
WHEREAS, Jon Myers was a devoted husband to his wife, Cheryl, a 20
loving father to his children, Shon, Jerrod, and Ashley, and a doting 21
grandfather to his grandchildren, Parker, Avery, Carter, Lindy, Nash, 22
Carson, Harper, Robert, and Crew, and he always used his talents to 23
the benefit of others. Indeed, the laurels of his life stand as a 24
tribute not only to him but also to those he left behind, and although 25
the void his death has created can never be filled, the legacy of care 26
and commitment he established will surely live on. The world is a 27
richer place for his having been in it, and he will be sorely missed; 28
therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 30
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 31
salute the memory of an exceptionally honorable man, Jon D. Myers; and 32
be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
