                       A RESOLUTION
       Honoring the Olentangy Liberty High School football team
         on securing the 2024 Division I State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Olentangy Liberty    2
High School football team as the 2024 Division I State Champion; and     3
     WHEREAS, The Olentangy Liberty High School football team is         4
comprised of exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be    5
truly exceptional competitors. At this year’s Division I State           6
Championship, the Patriots won their first state crown in program        7
history by defeating a tough Moeller team by a score of 28-14 and        8
finished the season with a 14-2 record. The unwavering commitment of     9
the players and coaches has earned them the esteem of many, and they     10
are certainly deserving of high praise; and                              11
     WHEREAS, Coaches John Sansbury, Nate Cikach, Mike Cimaglia, Ryan    12
Ebie, and Michael Banig have demonstrated remarkable energy,             13
enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding the Olentangy Liberty High         14
School football team to victory, and their skill is reflected in the     15
squad’s outstanding accomplishments. Due largely to their tireless       16
efforts, the members have distinguished themselves on the gridiron,      17
and they have received respect and admiration from all who know them;    18

     WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future    20
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and    21
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has     22
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the     23
Olentangy Liberty High School football team have gained discipline and   24
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives;          25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay       28
tribute to the Olentangy Liberty High School football team as the 2024     29
Division I State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the       30
success of this fine squad; and be it further                              31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy Liberty      33
High School football team.                                                 34
