                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring the West Branch High School baseball team on
              securing the 2024 Division II State Championship.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the West Branch High School        2
baseball team as the 2024 Division II State Champion; and                3
     WHEREAS, The talented West Branch High School baseball team is,     4
indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning this year’s      5
Division II State Championship. The squad’s performance, a come-from-    6
behind 3-2 victory over the team from Badin High School, reflects the    7
outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and         8
without exception, the team has devoted countless hours to training      9
and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this         10
demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends, as WBHS claimed its       11
first state crown in program history; and                                12
     WHEREAS, The members of the West Branch High School baseball team   13
have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true          14
champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently   15
maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed,       16
stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and again,     17
they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging    18
determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned     19
them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and    20
     WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a    21
host of adversaries, the members of the West Branch High School          22
baseball team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline,       23
leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of   24
their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit     25
has made their families, friends, and coaches incredibly proud;          26

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the West Branch     29
High School baseball team on its brilliant 2024 season and wish its        30
members continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it      31
further                                                                    32
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the West Branch High School       34
baseball team.                                                             35
