A RESOLUTION
Honoring the John F. Kennedy High School boys golf team
on winning the 2024 Division III State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the John F. Kennedy 2
High School boys golf team as the 2024 Division III State Champion; 3
and 4
WHEREAS, The members of the John F. Kennedy High School boys golf 5
team are exemplary athletes, and they have shown themselves to be 6
truly exceptional competitors. This season, the Eagles compiled a two- 7
day score of 634 to win the Division III State Championship, their 8
second consecutive state crown. The unwavering commitment of the 9
players and coaches has earned them the esteem of many, and they are 10
certainly deserving of acknowledgement; and 11
WHEREAS, Head Coach James Lapolla and Assistant Coach Joey Canaan 12
have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in 13
guiding the John F. Kennedy High School boys golf team to victory, and 14
their skill is reflected in the squad’s outstanding accomplishments. 15
Due largely to their tireless efforts, members Andrew Fredenburg, 16
Taggart Carfangia, Henry Phillips, Andrew Lapolla, and Julian Bolino 17
have distinguished themselves on the links, and they have received 18
respect and admiration from all who know them; and 19
WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future 20
leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and 21
the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has 22
become a valuable tool. By taking part in sports, the members of the 23
John F. Kennedy High School boys golf team have gained discipline and 24
perseverance that will help them in all aspects of their lives; 25

As Offered
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 28
tribute to the John F. Kennedy High School boys golf team as the 2024 29
Division III State Champion and honor all those who contributed to the 30
success of this fine squad; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the John F. Kennedy 33
High School boys golf team. 34
