                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring the Indian Hill High School girls tennis team
                as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Indian Hill      2
High School girls tennis team on winning the 2024 Ohio Tennis Coaches     3
Association Division II State Championship; and                           4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the    5
Indian Hill High School girls tennis team have combined talent and        6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish         7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable               8
dedication, the Braves have worked diligently toward attaining            9
ultimate proficiency in tennis, and as a result, they won their second    10
consecutive OTCA Division II State Championship and finished the          11
season with an impressive 16-4 record; and                                12
     WHEREAS, The Braves’ achievements and leadership are a justifiable   13
source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their         14
families, their school, their community, and their coach, Wade Ward.      15
In leading his team to victory, Coach Ward has not only helped the        16
athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in    17
them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie;    18
and                                                                       19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay       21
tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a     22
job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have          23
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in     24
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                     25

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           27
commend the Indian Hill High School girls tennis team on its               28
tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s       29
finest citizens; and be it further                                         30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Indian Hill High       32
School girls tennis team.                                                  33
