                       A RESOLUTION
            Honoring Nolan Good as a 2024 All-Ohio Division II
              Offensive Player of the Year in football.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Nolan Good on his numerous         2
achievements during the 2024 football season; and                        3
     WHEREAS, A diligent and capable individual, Nolan Good is           4
deserving of recognition for his exemplary accomplishments as a member   5
of the Avon High School football team. An exceptional athlete, he        6
excelled as a quarterback, guiding his squad to the Division II State    7
Championship crown and receiving such accolades as the Lorain County     8
Golden Helmet Award, the FOX 8 Friday Night Touchdown Player of the      9
Year Award, the Morning Journal Matt Wilhelm Award, the Division II      10
Northeast Lakes District Offensive Player of the Year Award, and All-    11
Ohio Division II first-team and Co-Offensive Player of the Year          12
honors, and his notable record of personal attainment stands as a        13
hallmark for others; and                                                 14
     WHEREAS, Through his participation in sports, Nolan Good has        15
learned important lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and    16
good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to him      17
throughout his life. Through his outstanding efforts, he has inspired    18
countless people to excel in various areas of endeavor, and he has set   19
an example worthy of emulation; and                                      20
     WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of     21
our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards   22
of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable         23
educational tool. With sports contributing to the development of         24
countless youth, we are happy to congratulate such a fine athlete as     25
Nolan Good; therefore be it                                              26

As Introduced
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Nolan Good on       28
his fantastic 2024 season and extend best wishes for continued             29
success; and be it further                                                 30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                31
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Nolan Good.                       32
