A RESOLUTION
Honoring President Matt Huffman for outstanding service to
the Ohio Senate.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to President Matt 2
Huffman for his loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and 3
WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure as a member and 4
president of the Ohio Senate, Matt Huffman has demonstrated dedication 5
to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with 6
efficiency and competence. Representing the 12th District, he has 7
enriched the chamber with his wealth of experience gained as an 8
attorney in private practice and a member of the Lima City Council and 9
the Ohio House of Representatives, and he has served as chair of the 10
Rules and Reference Committee. With determination and resolve, he has 11
brought his talents to bear on the ever-changing needs and issues of 12
the Ohio General Assembly; and 13
WHEREAS, Matt Huffman has given willingly of his time and energy 14
and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of 15
life in our society. His love for Ohio and his sincere desire to serve 16
its people have shown him to be a concerned and responsible public 17
servant, and we are proud to note that it is through the efforts of 18
individuals such as he that our state and nation continue to grow and 19
prosper; and 20

WHEREAS, Election to public office is one of the highest honors 21
that the people in a democracy can bestow upon a fellow citizen. 22
Throughout his service as a member of the Ohio Senate, Matt Huffman 23
has maintained a high degree of achievement and has earned the respect 24
and admiration of colleagues on both sides of the political aisle. 25
Whether engaged in floor debate or in committee deliberations, he has 26
brought a full measure of enthusiasm, intelligence, and public spirit 27
to his duties and has served his constituents and the Great State of 28
Ohio; therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 30
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud President Matt 31
Huffman on his service to the Ohio Senate and offer best wishes for 32
happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 34
authenticated copy of this Resolution to President Matt Huffman. 35
