A RESOLUTION
Honoring Laura Battocletti
on her retirement from the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Laura Battocletti on the occasion of her retirement as executive 3
director of the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board; and 4
WHEREAS, Diligent and painstaking in all her endeavors, Laura 5
Battocletti has distinguished herself as an outstanding leader, a 6
devoted administrator, and a true public servant, and she has attained 7
a truly noteworthy record of accomplishments. Commencing her career as 8
an intern with the Ohio Legislative Service Commission, she served as 9
a legislative aide, policy aide, journal clerk, deputy clerk, and head 10
clerk for the Ohio House of Representatives, a member of the NCSL 11

Executive Committee, the president of the American Society of 12
Legislative Clerks and Secretaries, and the director of government 13
affairs and the problem gambling program coordinator for the Ohio 14
Casino Control Commission before assuming the responsibilities of 15
executive director of the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board in 16
2016, and she is deserving of high praise; and 17
WHEREAS, Laura Battocletti has given willingly of her time and 18
energy far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a 19
genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society. 20
Her love for Ohio and her sincere desire to serve its people to the 21
best of her ability have shown her to be a concerned and responsible 22
individual, and we are proud to note that it is through the efforts of 23
conscientious Ohioans such as she that our state continues to grow and 24
prosper; and 25
WHEREAS, To her credit, Laura Battocletti has demonstrated how 26
very much a conscientious, industrious person can accomplish, and she 27
can be proud that her unflagging dedication to her job has inspired 28
many who know her to devote themselves similarly. In the wake of her 29
retirement, she can rest assured that her contributions will not be 30
forgotten and that she will be sorely missed; therefore be it 31
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 32
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 33
commend Laura Battocletti on her retirement and extend best wishes for 34
the years to come; and be it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 36
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Laura Battocletti. 37
