A RESOLUTION
Honoring The University of Toledo men’s cross country team
on securing the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute The University of 2
Toledo men’s cross country team as the 2024 Mid-American Conference 3
Champion; and 4
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, The 5
University of Toledo men’s cross country team is an impressive group 6
of athletes whose talent and spirit are unmatched. At the 2024 Mid- 7
American Conference Championship meet, the squad won its first title 8
in program history with a total score of 49 points, and this victory 9
will be celebrated for many years to come; and 10
WHEREAS, The members of The University of Toledo men’s cross 11
country team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a 12
dynamic force in collegiate sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes 13
can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved 14
throughout the 2024 season; and 15
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of 16
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of The University of Toledo 17
men’s cross country team primed themselves under the guidance of 18
Associate Head Coach Tito Medrano to reach their full potential. 19
Indeed, the Rockets have demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, 20
and dedication in all of their endeavors; therefore be it 21
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 22
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 23
recognize The University of Toledo men’s cross country team on its 24
success and honor the athletes and coaches for their tremendous 25

prowess; and be it further 26
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 27
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The University of 28
Toledo men’s cross country team. 29
