A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. on its
One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to commend the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, 2
Inc., on the One Hundredth Anniversary of its founding; and 3
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 4
tribute to the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, for over the past one 5
hundred years, this fine agency has attained a praiseworthy record of 6
service to Ohio’s law enforcement professionals. Indeed, the 7
organization’s achievements are a justifiable source of pride and an 8
excellent reflection not only on itself but also on its astute 9
leaders, on its dedicated members, and on the state as a whole; and 10
WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in 11
life, the members of the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police have actively 12
ensured the well-being of their fellow citizens, and the enthusiasm 13
and devotion to duty they have shown in all of their endeavors have 14
earned them the gratitude and respect of the citizens they have 15
safeguarded. We are certain that as they maintain their unwavering 16
commitment to service, these individuals will continue in the 17
tradition of excellence that has long been the organization’s 18
hallmark; and 19
WHEREAS, We are delighted to honor the many members of the Ohio 20
Fraternal Order of Police, for they have proven themselves to be 21
conscientious, valiant Ohioans, and considering the bravery, 22
commitment, and self-sacrifice of these heroes, it is no surprise that 23
they inspire such trust and confidence. Without a doubt, their 24
noteworthy accomplishments demonstrate the potential of individuals to 25
have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society; 26

therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Ohio 29
Fraternal Order of Police, Inc., on the memorable occasion of its 30
Centennial and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Fraternal Order of 33
Police, Inc. 34
