                       A RESOLUTION
           Honoring the Roger Bacon High School girls volleyball team
              as the 2024 Division IV State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly    1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Roger Bacon High School girls    2
volleyball team on winning the 2024 Division IV State Championship;      3
and                                                                      4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the   5
Roger Bacon High School girls volleyball team have combined talent and   6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish        7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable              8
dedication, the Spartans have worked diligently toward attaining         9
ultimate proficiency in volleyball, and as a result, they defeated a     10
tough Marlington team in three sets to win this year’s Division IV       11
State Championship, their fourth such title in program history, and      12
finished the season with an impressive 25-4 record; and                  13
     WHEREAS, The Spartans’ achievements and leadership are a            14
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the           15
players, their families, their school, their community, and their        16
coaches, Steve Rossi and Alyssa Flading. In leading their team to        17
victory, they have not only helped the athletes to develop their         18
talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of    19
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                        20
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role   21
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased     22
to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding         23
coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team        24
members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly   25
aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it        26

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General     27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Roger Bacon     28
High School girls volleyball team on its tremendous season and salute      29
the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it       30
further                                                                    31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly                32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Roger Bacon High School       33
girls volleyball team.                                                     34
