A RESOLUTION
Honoring Senator Matthew Dolan for outstanding service to
the Ohio Senate.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Senator Matthew 2
Dolan for his loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and 3
WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure as a member of the 4
Ohio Senate, Matt Dolan has demonstrated dedication to performing his 5
duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with efficiency and 6
competence. Representing the 24th District, he has shared with the 7
chamber a wealth of experience gained as an attorney in private 8
practice, an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University 9
School of Law and Kent State University Geauga Campus, a chief 10
assistant prosecutor for Geauga County, an assistant attorney general 11
for the State of Ohio, and a member of the Ohio House of 12
Representatives, and he has served as chair of the Finance Committee 13
and a member of the Energy and Public Utilities, Judiciary, and Rules 14
and Reference committees. With determination and resolve, he has 15
brought his talents and experience to bear on the ever-changing needs 16
and issues of the Ohio General Assembly; and 17
WHEREAS, Matt Dolan has given willingly of his time and energy and 18
has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in 19
our society. His love for Ohio and his sincere desire to serve its 20
people have shown him to be a concerned and responsible public 21

servant, and we are proud to note that it is through the efforts of 22
individuals such as he that our state and nation continue to grow and 23
prosper; and 24
WHEREAS, Election to public office is one of the highest honors 25
that the people in a democracy can bestow upon a fellow citizen. 26
Throughout his service as a member of the Ohio Senate, Matt Dolan has 27
maintained a high degree of achievement and has earned the respect and 28
admiration of colleagues on both sides of the political aisle. Whether 29
engaged in floor debate or in committee deliberations, he has brought 30
a full measure of enthusiasm, intelligence, and public spirit to his 31
duties and has served his constituents and the Great State of Ohio; 32
therefore be it 33
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 34
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Senator Matthew 35
Dolan on his service to the Ohio Senate and offer best wishes for 36
happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further 37
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 38
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Senator Matthew Dolan. 39
