A RESOLUTION
Honoring John D. Whaley for outstanding service to the
State of Ohio.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to John D. Whaley 2
for his loyal service to the State of Ohio; and 3
WHEREAS, John Whaley has combined civic concern and dedication 4
with initiative in his work for the Ohio Senate. Previously serving 5
with the Ohio State Highway Patrol for nine years, he has worked for 6
the Senate as a sergeant-at-arms since 2000 and has diligently 7
provided assistance and support to numerous grateful and appreciative 8
members of the General Assembly; and 9
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, John Whaley has clearly shown the 10
potential to have a positive effect on the quality of life in the 11
Senate. Always sincere and friendly in his approach to his work, he 12
has distinguished himself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, 13
and he is truly deserving of high praise; and 14
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed 15
efforts and deep commitment of diligent people such as John Whaley 16
that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, 17
he has striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his 18
ability, and we applaud him on his fine work; therefore be it 19
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 20
S. R. No. 484 Page 2
As Introduced
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend John D. Whaley 21
on his years of service and offer best wishes for health and happiness 22
in the years to come; and be it further 23
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 24
authenticated copy of this Resolution to John D. Whaley. 25
