A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Archbishop McNicholas High School boys
volleyball team as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Archbishop McNicholas High 2
School boys volleyball team on winning the 2024 Division II State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
Archbishop McNicholas High School boys volleyball team have combined 6
talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to 7
establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable 8
dedication, the players have worked diligently toward attaining 9
ultimate proficiency in volleyball, and as a result, they defeated a 10
tough St. Charles team in five sets to win the Division II State 11
Championship; and 12
WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Archbishop 13
McNicholas High School boys volleyball team are a justifiable source 14
of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, 15
their school, their community, and their coach, Connor Games. In 16
leading his squad to victory, Coach Games has not only helped the 17
athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in 18
them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; 19
and 20
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 21
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 22
tribute to the exemplary athletes who comprise the Archbishop 23
McNicholas High School boys volleyball team. The maturity and 24
experience the members have gained through their participation in 25
sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; 26

therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Archbishop 29
McNicholas High School boys volleyball team on its tremendous season 30
and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s finest citizens; 31
and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Archbishop McNicholas 34
High School boys volleyball team. 35
