A RESOLUTION
Honoring Brett Hudson Hillyer
for his exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Brett Hudson Hillyer 2
for his outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of 3
Representatives; and 4
WHEREAS, Brett Hillyer is deserving of high praise for his 5
dedicated service to the 51st House District. An able steward to the 6
State of Ohio, he brought a wealth of experience to his post through 7
his endeavors as an attorney in private practice, an agent for two 8
title companies, and the law director and prosecutor for the City of 9
Uhrichsville. Indeed, he is a staunch supporter of the well-being of 10
his constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide- 11

ranging areas of interest; and 12
WHEREAS, Brett Hillyer is an effectual ambassador for communities 13
throughout Tuscarawas County and southern Stark County, and he has 14
combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to 15
become a dynamic leader. In addition, he has been active with the 16
Civil Justice, Constitutional Resolutions, Criminal Justice, Energy 17
and Natural Resources, and Financial Institutions committees as well 18
as the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review, and his sincerity and 19
integrity have distinguished him as a conscientious and hard-working 20
Ohioan; and 21
WHEREAS, Brett Hillyer has been characterized by his ambition and 22
expertise, and he has earned not only the respect of those with whom 23
he has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens he has so capably 24
represented. As he reflects on his career with the Ohio House of 25
Representatives, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has 26
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 27
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 28
be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 30
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 31
commend Brett Hudson Hillyer as an esteemed Ohio Representative and 32
extend best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; 33
and be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 35
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brett Hudson Hillyer. 36
