A RESOLUTION
Honoring Jay Edwards
for his exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Jay Edwards for his 2
outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives; 3
and 4
WHEREAS, Jay Edwards is deserving of high praise for his dedicated 5
service to the 94th House District. An able steward to the State of 6
Ohio, he brought a wealth of experience to his post through his 7
endeavors as a small business owner, a Realtor, and a property 8
investor. Indeed, he is a staunch supporter of the well-being of his 9
constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide-ranging 10
areas of interest; and 11

WHEREAS, Jay Edwards is an effectual ambassador for communities 12
throughout Athens, Meigs, Morgan, and southwest Washington counties, 13
and he has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless 14
initiative to become a dynamic leader. In addition, he has been active 15
as chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Rules and 16
Reference Committee, and his sincerity and integrity have 17
distinguished him as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and 18
WHEREAS, Jay Edwards has been characterized by his ambition and 19
expertise, and he has earned not only the respect of those with whom 20
he has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens he has so capably 21
represented. As he reflects on his career with the Ohio House of 22
Representatives, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has 23
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 24
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 25
be it 26
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 28
commend Jay Edwards as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend best 29
wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it 30
further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jay Edwards. 33
