A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, Inc.
on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Ohio 2
Fraternal Order of Police, Inc., on the auspicious occasion of its One 3
Hundredth Anniversary, December 8, 2024; and 4
WHEREAS, The Ohio Fraternal Order of Police is the state’s largest 5
law enforcement organization, representing officers at the local, 6
county, state, and federal level. For the past century, this nonprofit 7
has been dedicated to the advancement and protection of its members 8
and their families as well as promoting improved law enforcement 9
methods that place the respect for law and order at a premium; and 10
WHEREAS, All those who have comprised the Ohio Fraternal Order of 11
Police have demonstrated a sincere concern for the success of their 12
profession and are deserving of the highest praise for their expertise 13
and commitment. Indeed, their invaluable contributions have set an 14
example of humanitarian service, and their selfless endeavors to 15
protect the welfare of their fellow Ohioans stand as the hallmark of 16
responsible citizenship that is worthy of emulation; and 17
WHEREAS, The residents of our state owe their safety, and some 18
their very lives, to the members of the Ohio Fraternal Order of 19
Police, for these fine professionals have performed their duties with 20
an unwavering focus on excellence that comes from estimable courage 21
and initiative. Indeed, their integrity and cooperation with the 22
public have gained them the appreciation and reverence of many; 23
therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25

the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, we 26
praise the Ohio Fraternal Order of Police, Inc., on its One Hundredth 27
Anniversary and salute its members as some of Ohio’s finest public 28
servants; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Fraternal 31
Order of Police, Inc. 32
