                       A RESOLUTION
         Honoring the New Albany High School boys soccer team
                as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the New Albany       2
High School boys soccer team on winning the 2024 Division II State        3
Championship; and                                                         4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the    5
New Albany High School boys soccer team have combined talent and          6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish         7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable               8
dedication, the Eagles have worked diligently toward attaining            9
ultimate proficiency in soccer, and as a result, they defeated a tough    10
Walsh Jesuit team to win the program’s first Division II State            11
Championship; and                                                         12
     WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the New Albany High      13
School boys soccer team are a justifiable source of pride and an          14
excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school,        15
their community, and their coach, Johnny Ulry. In leading his team to     16
victory, Coach Ulry has not only helped the athletes to develop their     17
talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of     18
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                         19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay       21
tribute to the exemplary athletes who comprise the New Albany High        22
School boys soccer team. The maturity and experience the members have     23
gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in     24
meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it                     25

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           27
commend the New Albany High School boys soccer team on its tremendous      28
season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio’s finest           29
citizens; and be it further                                                30
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the New Albany High        32
School boys soccer team.                                                   33
