A RESOLUTION
Honoring Thomas F. Patton
for his exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Thomas F. Patton for 2
his outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of 3
Representatives; and 4
WHEREAS, Tom Patton is deserving of high praise for his dedicated 5
service to the 17th House District. An able steward to the State of 6
Ohio, he brought a wealth of experience to his post through his 7
endeavors as a prior member of the Ohio House of Representatives and 8
the Ohio Senate, a trustee of the Cleveland Police Historical Society, 9
and a member of such organizations as St. Colman’s Parish, the 10
Incarnate Word Academy and Holy Name High School endowment boards, and 11

the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce. Indeed, he is a staunch 12
supporter of the well-being of his constituency and has sponsored into 13
law various bills in wide-ranging areas of interest; and 14
WHEREAS, Tom Patton is an effectual ambassador for communities 15
throughout portions of Cuyahoga County, and he has combined civic 16
concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic 17
leader. In addition, he has been active with the Finance, Insurance, 18
Pensions, and Public Utilities committees, Finance Subcommittee on 19
Transportation, and Conference Committee on H.B. 23, and his sincerity 20
and integrity have distinguished him as a conscientious and hard- 21
working Ohioan; and 22
WHEREAS, Tom Patton has been characterized by his ambition and 23
expertise, and he has earned not only the respect of those with whom 24
he has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens he has so capably 25
represented. As he reflects on his career with the Ohio House of 26
Representatives, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has 27
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 28
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 29

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 31
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 32
commend Thomas F. Patton as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend 33
best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be 34
it further 35
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 36
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Thomas F. Patton. 37
