                           A RESOLUTION
                     Honoring Willis E. Blackshear, Jr.
    for his exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th              1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Willis E.                         2
Blackshear, Jr., for his outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio                 3
House of Representatives; and                                                       4
     WHEREAS, Willis Blackshear is deserving of high praise for his                 5
dedicated service to the 38th House District. An able steward to the                6
State of Ohio, he brought a wealth of experience to his post through                7
his endeavors as an outreach specialist at the Montgomery County                    8
Auditor’s Office. Indeed, he is a staunch supporter of the well-being               9
of his constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide-               10
ranging areas of interest; and                                                      11

     WHEREAS, Willis Blackshear is an effectual ambassador for             12
communities throughout the City of Dayton, Riverside, and parts of         13
Huber Heights, and he has combined civic concern and commitment with       14
selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader. In addition, he has        15
been active with the Criminal Justice, Economic and Workforce              16
Development, Financial Institutions, Homeland Security, and                17
Infrastructure committees and the Finance Subcommittee on Higher           18
Education, and his sincerity and integrity have distinguished him as a     19
conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and                                 20
     WHEREAS, Willis Blackshear has been characterized by his ambition     21
and expertise, and he has earned not only the respect of those with        22
whom he has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens he has so        23
capably represented. As he reflects on his career with the Ohio House      24
of Representatives, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has         25
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will     26
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore     27
be it                                                                      28
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           30
commend Willis E. Blackshear, Jr., as an esteemed Ohio Representative      31
and extend best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to       32
come; and be it further                                                    33
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Willis E. Blackshear,      35
