A RESOLUTION
Honoring Sara Carruthers
for her exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Sara Carruthers for 2
her outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of 3
Representatives; and 4
WHEREAS, Sara Carruthers is deserving of high praise for her 5
dedicated service to the 47th House District. An able steward to the 6
State of Ohio, she brought a wealth of experience to her post through 7
her myriad endeavors with the Hamilton Community Foundation, The 8
Michael Feinstein Great American SongBook Foundation, Fort Hamilton 9
Hospital, the Hamilton Garden Club, the Arronoff Center for the Arts, 10
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, the Fitton Center, Christ Church 11

Glendale, Delta Zeta Sorority, and the Butler County Republican Party 12
as well as through her service as a White House Press assistant during 13
the Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush administrations and an 14
employee with such stations as WKRC-TV, WKRC 55, WKRQ, TCI, and 15
TvHamilton. Indeed, she is a staunch supporter of the well-being of 16
her constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide- 17
ranging areas of interest; and 18
WHEREAS, Sara Carruthers is an effectual ambassador for 19
communities throughout portions of central and northwestern Butler 20
County, and she has combined civic concern and commitment with 21
selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader. In addition, she has 22
been active with the Behavioral Health, Finance, Homeland Security, 23
and Transportation committees and the Finance Subcommittee on Health 24
and Human Services, and her sincerity and integrity have distinguished 25
her as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and 26
WHEREAS, Sara Carruthers has been characterized by her ambition 27
and expertise, and she has earned not only the respect of those with 28
whom she has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens she has so 29
capably represented. As she reflects on her career with the Ohio House 30
of Representatives, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has 31
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 32
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 33
be it 34
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 35
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 36
commend Sara Carruthers as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend 37
best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be 38
it further 39
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 40
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Sara Carruthers. 41
