A RESOLUTION
Honoring the St. Ursula Academy girls volleyball team
as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the St. Ursula 2
Academy girls volleyball team on winning the 2024 Division II State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
St. Ursula Academy girls volleyball team have combined talent and 6
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish 7
themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable 8
dedication, the Bulldogs have worked diligently toward attaining 9
ultimate proficiency in volleyball, and as a result, they defeated the 10
Anthony Wayne squad by the scores of 23-25, 11
20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 15-9 to win this year’s Division II State 12
Championship, their ninth such title in program history, and finished 13
the season with an impressive 23-4 record; and 14
WHEREAS, The Bulldogs’ achievements and leadership are a 15
justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the 16
players, their families, their school, their community, and their 17
coaches. In leading their team to victory, the coaches have not only 18
helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also 19
instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and 20
camaraderie; and 21
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 22
in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 23
to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding 24

coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team 25
members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly 26
aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 28
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 29
commend the St. Ursula Academy girls volleyball team on its tremendous 30
2024 season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio’s 31
finest citizens; and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 33
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Ursula Academy 34
girls volleyball team. 35
