                       A RESOLUTION
        Honoring the Mason High School boys cross country team
      on securing the 2024 Division I State Championship title.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Mason High School    2
boys cross country team as the 2024 Division I State Champion; and       3
     WHEREAS, The Mason High School boys cross country team has proven   4
to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the       5
respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly          6
motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season, the         7
athletes worked diligently to improve their skills on the course, and    8
as a result, the Comets accomplished their goals, bringing home the      9
2024 Division I State Championship crown, their third in four years;     10

     WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined squad, the Mason Comets   12
have developed into a remarkably efficient group of long-distance        13
runners whose skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of        14
teamwork. They are a credit not only to their families and their         15
school but also to the superb leadership of their coach, Tom Rapp; and   16
     WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring          17
ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of members and   18
coaches alike. The members of the Mason High School boys cross country   19
team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential      20
for success both in and out of competition, including courage,           21
discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have    22
earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these         23
outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it                          24
    RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    25

the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           26
salute the Mason High School boys cross country team on its 2024           27
Division I State Championship and extend best wishes for the years to      28
come; and be it further                                                    29
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Mason High School      31
boys cross country team.                                                   32
