A RESOLUTION
Honoring Dr. Beth Liston
for her exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Dr. Beth Liston for 2
her outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of 3
Representatives; and 4
WHEREAS, Beth Liston is deserving of high praise for her dedicated 5
service to the 8th House District. An able steward to the State of 6
Ohio, she brought a wealth of experience to her post through her 7
endeavors as an internal medicine and pediatric physician at Yale New 8
Haven Hospital, a hospitalist at The Ohio State University Wexner 9
Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a professor of 10
clinical internal medicine and pediatrics at The Ohio State 11

University, and a member of the Columbus Medical Association and the 12
Dublin Worthington Rotary. Indeed, she is a staunch supporter of the 13
well-being of her constituency and has sponsored into law various 14
bills in wide-ranging areas of interest; and 15
WHEREAS, Beth Liston is an effectual ambassador for communities 16
throughout portions of Franklin County, and she has combined civic 17
concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic 18
leader. In addition, she has been active with the Families and Aging, 19
Finance, Health Provider Services, and Public Health Policy 20
committees, the Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, and 21
the Conference Committee on H.B. 33, and her sincerity and integrity 22
have distinguished her as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and 23
WHEREAS, Beth Liston has been characterized by her ambition and 24
expertise, and she has earned not only the respect of those with whom 25
she has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens she has so 26
capably represented. As she reflects on her career with the Ohio House 27
of Representatives, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has 28
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 29
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 30
be it 31
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 32
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 33
commend Dr. Beth Liston as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend 34
best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be 35
it further 36
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 37
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Beth Liston. 38
