A RESOLUTION
Honoring Richard D. Brown
for his exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Richard D. Brown for 2
his outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of 3
Representatives; and 4
WHEREAS, Richard Brown is deserving of high praise for his 5
dedicated service to the 5th House District. An able steward to the 6
State of Ohio, he brought a wealth of experience to his post through 7
his endeavors as an attorney for over thirty-five years and a member 8
of the American, Ohio State, and Columbus bar associations, the 9
Defense Research Institute, and the Columbus Claims Association. 10
Indeed, he is a staunch supporter of the well-being of his 11

constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide-ranging 12
areas of interest; and 13
WHEREAS, Richard Brown is an effectual ambassador for the 14
communities he serves, and he has combined civic concern and 15
commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader. In 16
addition, he has been active with the Armed Services and Veterans 17
Affairs, Civil Justice, Criminal Justice, Government Oversight, and 18
Infrastructure committees, and his sincerity and integrity have 19
distinguished him as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and 20
WHEREAS, Richard Brown has been characterized by his ambition and 21
expertise, and he has earned not only the respect of those with whom 22
he has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens he has so capably 23
represented. As he reflects on his career with the Ohio House of 24
Representatives, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has 25
established a record of personal and professional excellence that will 26
stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore 27
be it 28
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
commend Richard D. Brown as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend 31
best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be 32
it further 33
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 34
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Richard D. Brown. 35
