                       A RESOLUTION
     Honoring Hunter Armstrong on securing an Olympic Gold Medal
               in the men’s 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th   1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to    2
Hunter Armstrong on earning a gold medal in swimming at the 2024         3
Olympic Summer Games in Paris; and                                       4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable individual, Hunter Armstrong has combined     5
talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good            6
sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly exceptional athlete.       7
With admirable dedication, he has worked diligently toward attaining     8
ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a result, he and his relay      9
team of Jack Alexy, Chris Guiliano, and Caeleb Dressel won the men’s     10
4x100-meter freestyle relay race with a dominant time of 3:09.28. In     11
addition, he earned a silver medal in the 4x100 medley relay and         12
placed eleventh in the 100-meter backstroke at this year’s Olympic       13
Summer Games in Paris; and                                               14
     WHEREAS, Hunter Armstrong’s outstanding ability and spirited        15
drive, as well as his quickness and tenacity, have distinguished him     16
as a superior competitor, and for his tremendous performance in the      17
2024 Olympic Summer Games, he has gained the admiration and respect of   18
all those who have witnessed him in action. Truly, he has proven         19
himself to be one of the finest swimmers in the world, and we applaud    20
his fantastic drive and dedication; and                                  21
     WHEREAS, As a member of the United States Olympic men’s swimming    22
team, Hunter Armstrong has conscientiously applied himself to the        23
quest for excellence as an athlete, training and practicing diligently   24
in order to ensure peak conditioning. Time and again, he has risen to    25
the occasion, maintaining his morale and composure, and he has gained    26

the respect of even his most determined rivals. Clearly, his               27
enthusiastic involvement in swimming has enabled him to learn much         28
about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and in the process,     29
his exceptional prowess has made his family, friends, and hometown         30
very proud; therefore be it                                                31
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     32
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           33
congratulate Hunter Armstrong as a 2024 gold medalist and salute him       34
as one of Ohio’s finest sons; and be it further                            35
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     36
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hunter Armstrong.          37
