                       A RESOLUTION
   Honoring the Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team
                as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Fairfield        2
Union High School boys cross country team on winning the 2024 Division    3
II State Championship; and                                                4
     WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the    5
Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team have established      6
themselves as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and       7
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable      8
dedication, the Falcons have worked diligently toward attaining           9
ultimate proficiency in cross country, and as a result, they won the      10
Division II state crown with an impressive total team score of 88         11
points and completed the season as an undefeated squad; and               12
     WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Fairfield Union      13
High School boys cross country team are a justifiable source of pride     14
and an excellent reflection on these long-distance runners, their         15
families, their school community, and their head coach, Rob Myers.        16
Indeed, in leading the team to victory, Coach Myers has helped these      17
athletes to develop great talent by instilling the valuable lessons of    18
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and                         19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role    20
in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay         21
tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the      22
Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team for a job well        23
done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through    24
their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the        25
challenges of the future; therefore be it                                 26

As Offered
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
commend the Fairfield Union High School boys cross country team on its     29
tremendous 2024 season and salute the members and coaches as some of       30
Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further                                  31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Fairfield Union        33
High School boys cross country team.                                       34
