                       A RESOLUTION
                         Honoring Vincent Meng
     as a 2024 World Southern Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Vincent Meng on    2
placing first at the 2024 World Southern Shaolin Wing Chun Kung Fu        3
Competition; and                                                          4
     WHEREAS, A Wing Chun master, the head instructor at Meng’s Martial   5
Arts of Dayton, and a member of Team USA, Vincent Meng is a remarkable    6
individual, for he has combined talent and competitive spirit with the    7
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish himself as a truly      8
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, he has worked             9
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in his discipline,       10
and as a result, he won gold medals in the thrusting fingers, wooden      11
man, and chi sao events at this year’s World Southern Shaolin Wing        12
Chun Kung Fu Competition; and                                             13
     WHEREAS, Vincent Meng’s accomplishments and leadership, both in      14
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an          15
excellent reflection not only on him but also on his family and the       16
Centerville community. His unwavering commitment to excellence has        17
earned him these prestigious honors, and he is certainly deserving of     18
high praise; and                                                          19
     WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important part    20
in the establishment of role models for our young people, we are          21
overjoyed to recognize Vincent Meng on his exemplary success.             22
Throughout intense training and preparation, he has consistently          23
demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the           24
hallmarks of a true champion, and we commend him on his tremendous        25
efforts; therefore be it                                                  26

     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of     27
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,           28
congratulate Vincent Meng as a 2024 World Southern Shaolin Wing Chun       29
Kung Fu Champion and extend best wishes for continued success; and be      30
it further                                                                 31
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Vincent Meng.              33
