A RESOLUTION
Honoring St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to St. Vladimir 2
Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on the celebration of its Centennial, 3
October 13, 2024; and 4
WHEREAS, Standing for a century on the reverential foundation 5
built by immigrants from Western Ukraine, St. Vladimir Ukrainian 6
Orthodox Cathedral has offered its members the pathway to a more 7
meaningful life. Under the exemplary guidance of its current spiritual 8
leaders, His Eminence Metropolitan Antony, His Eminence Archbishop 9
Daniel, the Reverend Michael Hontaruk, the Reverend John Nakonachny, 10
and Protodeacon Ihor Mahlay, this hallowed church has served as a 11
tremendous source of inspiration, strength, and hope; and 12
WHEREAS, Since its inception in 1924, St. Vladimir Ukrainian 13
Orthodox Cathedral has been an unceasing source of moral guidance and 14
spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the years, the church 15
has enhanced the quality of life within Parma and the surrounding 16
area, and its tradition, benevolence, and generosity have earned it 17
great esteem; and 18
WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone, and 19
for one hundred years, the members of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox 20
Cathedral have nurtured their faith, stood strong in the face of 21
challenges, and persevered through unity and dedication. Indeed, on 22
this special anniversary, we praise them for carrying their beliefs 23
into the future and being vibrant spiritual stewards throughout their 24
communities; therefore be it 25

As Offered
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
congratulate St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral on its One 28
Hundredth Anniversary and salute it as a fine place of worship; and be 29
it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to St. Vladimir Ukrainian 32
Orthodox Cathedral. 33
