                       A RESOLUTION
                        Honoring Brooke Carlson
     as a 2024 Middle School Speech and Debate National Champion.
     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th    1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Brooke Carlson on    2
winning first place in the congressional debate event at the National     3
Speech and Debate Association’s 2024 Middle School National               4
Championship; and                                                         5
     WHEREAS, Brooke Carlson has amply demonstrated her ability to meet   6
challenges with enthusiasm. In the pursuit of success in the              7
congressional debate event at this year’s Middle School National          8
Championship, she has shown an unwavering determination to attain her     9
goals, and she has exhibited personal motivation and dedication of        10
which she can be proud; and                                               11
     WHEREAS, A recent graduate of Kenston Middle School, Brooke          12
Carlson has routinely displayed unparalleled energy, skill, and           13
initiative, and she has set a superb example of how much a                14
conscientious and industrious person can accomplish. Understandably,      15
her leadership, maturity, and self-discipline have won her a host of      16
admirers; and                                                             17
     WHEREAS, Brooke Carlson’s record of achievement demonstrates a       18
true commitment to scholastic leadership. Without fanfare, she has        19
proven herself to be innovative, resolute, and utterly dependable, and    20
we encourage her to continue her academic excellence so that she may      21
assume in the future a meaningful and productive role in our complex      22
and challenging society; therefore be it                                  23
     RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of    24
the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,          25

commend Brooke Carlson as the Middle School National Champion in the       26
congressional debate event and extend best wishes for the future; and      27
be it further                                                              28
     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit     29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Brooke Carlson.            30
